* Hand Gliding: Now, this you HAVE to do. Its the best feeling in world. You pay something like US $80 and you fly for about 15 mins from the top of gavea mountain landing in Sao Conrado beach. Its really really cool. During hand gliding, the instructor will take pictures from the wing for another US $8 or something. Ask for Paulinho when you’re there, My friend Maevan flown with him a few times and he’s very safe, has been flying for something like 20 years. * Helicopter: This is brilliant! Its amazing to fly around the statue of the Christ! The views are incredible! The helicopter leaves from the Lake (lagoon) and it costs the same as the hang gliding.

* Hippie Fair: Hippie fair is great for getting gifts and lots of cheap stuff, its on every sunday in Ipanema. In General Osorio Square.
