Safety in Rio

Rio is a great place, but do not walk around with bags, cameras, nice watches, jewelery or anything at all that they can rob;

In the corcovado or sugar loaf, or inside any place is fine. But not walking on the streets, unless you manage to hide it well;

While at the beach or bar, make sure you do not leave your bags unattended;

Avoid paying with credit/debit cards on bars and restaurants (they might clone your card);

Go around with one bank/credit card, one ID and US $200 at the most.
